• American Idol’s Paula Abdul reported to police that a man hurled her into a wall at a party, inflicting a concussion and back injuries. Simon Cowell remarked it was the best performance of the entire season.
• Rep. Cynthia McKinney is now apologizing for striking a U.S. Capitol cop. “There should not have been any physical contact in this incident,” McKinney said. “I am sorry that this misunderstanding happened at all and I regret its escalation and I apologize.” She then probably hurled her cell phone at reporters.
