8675: April Fools And Assorted Idiots.

TGIF with a MultiCultClassics Monologue…

• Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner settled a deal with AMC to continue the series for possibly three more seasons. Despite earlier reports, the show will not be losing any lead characters, although its weekly length will be reduced by two minutes for more commercials. Hopefully, the additional sponsorship time will not be filled by Phil Smith and Tad Winter.

• Jersey Shore personality Snooki is worth more than Nobel Prize winner Toni Morrison—at least according to Rutgers University. The MTV celebrity collected $32,000 for talking to students on a variety of stylish topics. Meanwhile, Morrison will receive $30,000 for delivering the commencement address in May. Wonder how much Don Imus would net for additional color commentary on the Rutgers women’s basketball team.

• Good News: The unemployment rate fell to 8.8 percent. Bad News: Snooki makes more money than the majority of employed citizens.

I personally think that all the members of the Jersey Shore should be shot but all the people complaining about this are just as stupid as Snooki. First of all Rutgers is a private college and they can do whatever they want with their fees, second if you don't like it then don't go to Rutgers, and third the money doesn't come out of tuition it comes out of activity fees which most colleges as far as I know will refund if you ask them nicely. People don't like to take responsibility for their actions and willing to pay people like Snooki thousands of dollars to act as scapegoats for their problems.
